Savan Cafe – a French-Indochina feel in Laos

This is not a sponsored or paid blog post

We went to Savan Cafe for a coffee and enjoyed looking at how well this 1970’s building has been restored and decorated to give a feel for the Chinese and Vietnamese influence of the French-Indochine time.

To help us feel the part we had a Vietnamese drip coffee for 15,000 kip.
It was very delicious and had a good flavour.

We took our coffee up to the rooftop to enjoy the view of the Mekong River.

This cafe also offers accommodation but we did not see in any of the rooms.

The staff all appear to be quite young and were very friendly and helpful and were happy for us to take photos.
